  • Despite RCR College’s best efforts, they occasionally are unable to accommodate all candidates at their desired venue. This is because of the training locations of UK candidates and past take-up. Booking windows remain open for a long time so that candidates can check back to see if other candidates have changed their plans or cancelled, and to book if a spot opens up.

  • The reporting portion of this exam will be computer based on the location that candidates have selected. To access the test, candidates will be given a username and password. Before to the test, you should see the associated demonstration website and the reporting instructional video. Candidates will also receive the oral component over a video conference, and the orals guidance video provides more information.

  • Candidates will be able to operate the mouse and access functionality to adjust images while the exam content is delivered via Microsoft Teams. The candidates will transfer to the second room and finish the second 30-minute oral exam session with a different panel of examiners after the first session has ended.

  • Three different components make up the Final FRCR (Part B) Examination: two oral tests, a reporting session, and a rapid reporting session. Passing or failing is determined by taking into account all of the sets of marks. The oral test is often held in a next week after the written components (Rapid reporting and Reporting session), which are both held on a same day.

I personally advise taking at least one U.K. courses before your exam or during your FRCR exam preparation. Passing depends on your level of self-assurance, radiological experience, and linguistic abilities. This varies from candidate to candidate and also on their preparation/experience.
Images are presented on an iMac in FRCR 2B Viva. The candidates cannot see the examiner’s separate screen. The OsiriX programme will display the images we view. Examiner and candidate both use the same Apple mouse. We have access to tools like pan, zoom, and windows. Yet, it is polite to consult the examiner first before modifying the window.
Windows Pratique system is used for Rapids and Long cases. Both a keyboard and a standard wired mouse, are provided for entering the answers. Oral vivas are conducted on Apple computer.
Yes – Both written formats include periodic warnings. There’s also a projected clock display.
The average pass percentage for the FRCR Part 2B Exam is 60-65%. The candidates who use our courses, subscription plans on the other hand, have a better chance than the average passing rate.
The exam costs £514 for RCR members and £627 for non-members.
